Use and dosage
DulcoEase® is available in a soft gel capsule which can be taken orally to treat chronic constipation. Consultation with doctor is advised if experiencing chronic constipation.
DulcoEase is not recommended for use in children under the age of 12 years.
For adults and children aged 12 years and above:
- It is recommended to start taking 1 DulcoEase capsule three times a day, but do not exceed 5 capsules a day.
- Up to maximum of 500 mg should be taken daily in divided doses.

Docusate sodium
Docusate sodium is a surface wetting agent that has a dual action effect whereby stools are softened and the bowel is stimulated to help promote a bowel movement. It is used in the prevention and treatment of chronic constipation.
How does it work?
Docusate sodium helps to make your poo softer by increasing the amount of water and salt within it, and also by stimulating your bowel so poo passes through more easily.
