Healthier people make for a healthier planet, which is why we are proudly committed to empowering constipation sufferers while reducing our impact on the environment.
Mindful manufacturing
At Sanofi Consumer Healthcare we believe in science-proven ingredients that enable natural movements in your gut, and all our products are produced following FDA Good Manufacturing Practices requirements, in a strictly controlled environment.
Leaving a lighter footprint
Through our commitment to the global movement for a healthier planet, we've implement daily actions at our manufacturing sites in Sanofi Consumer Healthcare:
Climate action
We aim to have achieved a 70% reduction in CO2e emissions by 2025, across Scopes 1 and 2. Compared to our 2019 baseline and as of 2022, we have achieved a 41% reduction+. Also in 2025, we aim to have 100% of our electricity sourced from renewable sources, and have already reached 78%.+
Reduce waste
We are working hard to reduce waste and increase circularity across manufacturing sites. By 2025 we aim to achieve zero waste to landfill and have a material recovery rate of 90%. At present, 7 out of 13 sites* have already achieved zero waste to landfill.
Protect ecosystems
Preserving our planet's natural resources is key, and as of 2022 all manufacturing sites have adopted specific programs targeting pharmaceutical residues in water supplies, and those located in sensitive natural areas will simultaneously develop targeted biodiversity management plans by 2030. We also aim to reduce our water withdrawals by 20% by this time.
We’ve Partnered With TerraCycle®
At Sanofi Consumer Healthcare, we’re committed to reducing waste and helping the planet. We have partnered with TerraCycle®, a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle materials, to ensure our packaging doesn't end up in landfills. By following How2Recycle guidelines, we make it easy to see which Dulcolax® packages can be recycled locally and which should be sent to TerraCycle®. Let's work together for a cleaner future.
*Based on internal data by Sanofi Consumer Healthcare manufacturing sites on percentage of discards sent to landfill. Excludes high-temperature incineration and compliant disposal of non-incinerable waste.

Conscious packaging
We're on a journey toward more sustainable packaging for our products. By 2025, our carton boxes will be solely manufactured using FSC or SFI certified materials that follow practices to ensure our forests are protected.
B Corp acknowledges Dulcolax's commitment to a healthier world
Being recognized as a B Corp means we’re seen as a business with a force for good. Not only is it one of the most well respected certifications for an organization to earn, it is also very difficult, and demands authentic, consistent championing of better self-care for people, communities, and the planet.
This accreditation shows the world that the minds behind Dulcolax are devoted to a healthier future for all. By delivering consumer-inspired, science-based products, this certification recognizes our work to ensure our products’ positive impact on both people and the planet, including reducing unnecessary packaging, cutting down waste, sourcing more responsibly and supporting the wellbeing of communities wherever we do business.
“We know that healthier people and a healthy planet go hand in hand. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made in our journey to create a business that does well while doing good.”
